recent works (soulscapes)
In Ulrike Muderer's painterly explorations—which she herself calls soulscapes—the artist charts inner terrains, mapping fields of color that transcend physical space and linear time. These works do not depict; they evoke. Timelines weave through each composition like hidden threads, suggesting narratives that shimmer just beneath the surface.
Across each series of the artwork, the viewer is invited into a space where drawing and color oscillate, sometimes merging, sometimes pulling apart, creating a dynamic interplay that suggests fragments of a forgotten fairytale. Atmospheres shift gently, constantly, as if moved by an unseen wind.
Color becomes the language of emotion and intuition. Layers are carefully built up, then interrupted—crossed by lines or punctuated with vivid accents. Contrasts meet gradations, and harmony arises from tension. This complex layering generates an immersive depth that draws the viewer into an experience beyond conscious perception: a pull into the landscape of the human soul.
All works shown are 40x40 cm in size.
